About
Thanks to the efforts by two Poway Valley Riders Association members, John Walker and Jack Miller in 1973, people in Southern California won't need to travel far to see real cowboys doing roping, bronc riding, barrel racing and bull riding. The annual Poway Rodeo takes place in the last weekend of September will all the fun activities you can see in a Rodeo. This is a great opportunity to bring family, especially for those city slickers in the highly urbanized Southern California who's never seen Rodeo before.
