About

Boulder Bay Park is a picnic area located on the south shore of Big Bear Lake and is the lake’s most scenic spot. From the park people can see dramatic boulders and two stone islands which is how Boulder Bay get its name. Boulder Bay is completely protected with calm water and is a favorite for canoers. It is also the the most photographed spot on Big Bear Lake with pictures all over calendars, ads and magazine covers for year, just like what Emerald Bay is to Lake Tahoe.

Boulder Bay Park provides free parking, clean restrooms, picnic tables and a few benches. People can walk on the sandy beach or enjoy an outdoor picnic while enjoying the spectacular view of the bay and boulder rocks.
