Taoyuan is a county in the northwestern part of Taiwan and is home to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, a major air traffic hub connecting Taiwan to the rest of the world. The mountainous county of 2 million residents is also home to many high tech manufacturers and is the final resting place of former president Chiang Kai-shek. Famous attractions in the county including Shimen Dam, Da Guan Natural Reserve, Miniature World, and Pu Hsin Ranch.
